Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Heat Transfer or Fluid Mechanics and at least 5 years of deep technical expertise in thermal engineering principles such as conduction, convection, and radiation. Your strong communication skills enable you to convey complex technical concepts effectively within cross-functional teams. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a high level of modeling expertise, allowing you to tackle complex design problems with confidence.
Your experience includes a thorough understanding of heat sinks, heat pipes, vapor chambers, and various air movers. You are proficient in numerical modeling techniques and concepts, including convergence, discretization, and meshing. Additionally, you have hands-on experience with CAD and CFD tools such as NX, Ansys, and StarCCM, which you use to optimize designs and ensure thermal objectives are met.
Desirable
An advanced degree, such as a Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, is preferred. Familiarity with optimization techniques and scripting languages like Perl and Tcl will set you apart. Experience with MATLAB, C++, R, or similar toolkits for data analysis is also advantageous.

As a Thermal Engineer at Apple, you will play a key role in the definition and design of innovative products.
