Who you are
You are an entry-level candidate with a strong interest in quantitative finance, eager to apply your analytical and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment. You possess good communication skills and are ready to collaborate with specialized investment groups and researchers. Your background may include knowledge or experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and you may have contributed to open-source software projects. An aptitude for mathematics, finance, and econometrics is desired, as you will be working with complex data sets and quantitative tools.
What you'll do
As part of the Quant Research Specialized Investment Group at AQR, you will be responsible for building and extending SIG tools, data, and API infrastructure that incorporates millions of data points. You will leverage cloud computing to create intuitive research APIs and high-performance historical data systems. Your role will involve collaborating closely with investment professionals to ensure that the systems you develop effectively support quantitative strategy research and systematic investing. You will also engage in rigorous testing of ideas to filter out market noise and identify what matters most for investment decisions.
