Your strong background in software engineering allows you to tackle complex challenges with confidence.

You are proficient in Python and/or C++ — your expertise enables you to develop high-quality, robust, and efficient data and model pipelines. You are comfortable with iterative software development and maintain high standards for software quality, ensuring that your code is both efficient and reliable.

You thrive in collaborative environments — working closely with quantitative and portfolio researchers excites you, as you aim to improve the profitability of trading tactics through innovative solutions. Your curiosity drives you to explore new technologies and methodologies that can enhance trading systems.

Desirable

Experience with automated infrastructure for live trading would be a plus — you understand the importance of creating reproducible processes that accelerate the delivery of new models to live trading.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop and manage high-quality data and model pipelines — your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of trading systems. You will build tools that facilitate the transition of models to live trading, ensuring that the process is automated and reproducible.

You will collaborate with the Quantitative Research team to enhance the capabilities, performance, reliability, scalability, and throughput of trading systems — your contributions will help shape the future of trading at Aquatic. You will be involved in improving existing systems and implementing new features that drive performance.

Your role will require you to maintain a high standard of software quality — you will be expected to conduct code reviews and participate in discussions about best practices in software engineering. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow.
