You have a strong background in government affairs, with experience working directly with state and local governments. Your ability to navigate complex legislative environments and advocate for organizational interests is well-developed, and you thrive in collaborative settings where diverse perspectives are valued. You are highly motivated and enjoy taking ownership of projects that drive meaningful change.
Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to effectively represent Axon in meetings with government officials and stakeholders. You understand the importance of building relationships and fostering trust with various parties to advance the company's objectives. You are adaptable and can quickly learn about new laws, regulations, and ordinances that impact the organization.
What you'll do
As the Senior Manager of Government Affairs, you will report directly to the Sr. Director of Government Affairs and play a crucial role in supporting Axon's legislative and regulatory efforts in the Northeast region. You will engage with state, city, and county governments to advocate for policies that align with Axon's mission and business goals. Your responsibilities will include leading meetings with government officials, coordinating grassroots advocacy efforts, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure alignment on key issues.
You will also be responsible for monitoring legislative developments and providing strategic insights to the team. Your role will involve crafting communication materials and presentations to effectively convey Axon's position on various matters. You will work closely with the sales team to support procurement efforts and ensure that government stakeholders are informed about Axon's products and services.
