You have extensive experience as a Fullstack Engineer, ideally with a focus on building customer-facing applications that enhance user learning experiences. You possess a deep understanding of both frontend and backend technologies, enabling you to drive technical direction effectively. Your ability to connect technical decisions to measurable outcomes is a key strength, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can influence and mentor others. You are motivated by the impact of technology on learning and are passionate about creating systems that are not only scalable but also improve learner engagement and outcomes.
Desirable
Experience with modern web frameworks and a strong grasp of API design principles would be beneficial. Familiarity with data models and personalization techniques is also a plus, as is a background in educational technology or similar fields.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the technical direction across multiple teams within the Learner Experience Cluster at Babbel. You will establish and evolve shared patterns and standards that enhance consistency across various learning experiences. Your responsibilities will include owning and improving high-leverage interfaces and APIs that power learner journeys, ensuring they are both effective and user-friendly. You will collaborate closely with product and design teams to align technical decisions with customer value, driving improvements in delivery speed and developer productivity. Additionally, you will mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
