You have a prior software engineering internship or similar experience, showcasing your ability to tackle complex problems and iterate based on feedback. You are eager to learn and contribute to meaningful projects that have a real-world impact, particularly in the biotechnology sector.

Desirable

Experience with backend development and API design is a plus, as is familiarity with frontend technologies. What you'll do

As a Software Engineer Intern at Benchling, you will own a project from initial design through to large-scale rollout. You might design and implement backend models and API endpoints that support complex scientific workflows, ensuring they are robust and scalable. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to build and operate rich frontend components and visualizations that enhance user experience. You may also work on designing and building platform frameworks or infrastructure tools that will be utilized by other engineers at Benchling. This role will provide you with hands-on experience in software development, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge in a practical setting while making a significant impact on the company's mission to unlock the power of biotechnology.
