Security Engineer • Senior

Who you are

You have a strong background in security engineering with experience in building secure systems and tools. Your expertise includes programming languages such as Ruby, JavaScript, Java, and Python, allowing you to effectively contribute to the development of secure applications. You understand the importance of security in a highly regulated environment and are passionate about protecting customer data.

You are familiar with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and have experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes. Your knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform enables you to automate security practices effectively. You are also comfortable using monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog and Splunk to ensure system integrity and visibility.

What you'll do

As a Senior Product Security Engineer at Betterment, you will collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle. You will build and enhance security tools that help maintain the integrity of our systems while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Your role will involve writing and reviewing code to identify vulnerabilities and improve security practices across the organization.

You will also be responsible for implementing monitoring solutions that provide visibility into our services, allowing for proactive identification of security issues. By leveraging your technical skills, you will help create a secure environment that empowers our teams to deliver high-quality financial services to our customers.
