Who you are
You have a proven track record in product design, with at least 7+ years of experience leading design teams and projects. Your expertise in user experience design is complemented by your ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management and engineering. You are passionate about creating intuitive and engaging user experiences that drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
You possess strong leadership skills, having successfully managed design teams and mentored junior designers. Your portfolio showcases a range of successful projects that highlight your ability to solve complex design challenges and deliver impactful solutions. You are familiar with design thinking methodologies and are adept at using tools like Figma to create high-fidelity prototypes.
What you'll do
As the Product Design Director for Afterpay, you will lead the design strategy for our consumer apps and web checkout experience. You will work closely with product managers and engineers to ensure that design solutions align with business goals and user needs. Your role will involve conducting user research, usability testing, and iterating on designs based on feedback to enhance the overall user experience.
You will be responsible for establishing design guidelines and best practices that ensure consistency across all Afterpay products. Collaborating with stakeholders across different regions, you will adapt designs to meet the unique needs of users in the US, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Canada. You will also advocate for user-centered design principles within the organization, fostering a culture of design excellence.
