You have a strong background in operations management, particularly in the hardware sector, with experience in contract manufacturing and supply chain optimization. Your ability to negotiate effectively and build relationships with suppliers is key to your success in this role. You understand the complexities of geopolitical dynamics and how they impact supply chain strategies, allowing you to make informed decisions that benefit the organization.
You are skilled in developing and executing sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, and geographic diversification. Your analytical mindset enables you to assess supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that capacity planning and launch readiness are aligned with business objectives.
What you'll do
In this role, you will manage the Contract Manufacturing supply base for Block's Hardware portfolio. You will develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize the supplier base while ensuring geographic diversification. Leading pricing negotiations and contract discussions with CM partners will be a critical part of your responsibilities, as you utilize should-cost models to drive competitive outcomes.
You will assess geopolitical dynamics and tariff impacts, translating them into actionable supply chain strategies that mitigate risks. Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential CM partners will be essential for fostering collaboration and ensuring successful outcomes. You will also partner with Planning and Operations teams to support capacity planning, ramp readiness, yield improvement, and throughput optimization.
Collaboration with engineering and operations teams will be crucial as you review design for manufacturability and ensure that product designs align with manufacturing capabilities. Your role will involve continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing supplier performance and operational efficiency.
