What you'll do

As a Staff Application Security Engineer at Braze, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the security posture of our applications. You will collaborate with the existing Application Security team to develop and implement security best practices across our cloud-first SaaS platform. Your responsibilities will include conducting security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending remediation strategies to development teams. You will also lead initiatives to improve secure coding practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle, ensuring that security considerations are addressed from the design phase through to deployment. Your expertise will guide the development teams in implementing secure architecture and design patterns, helping them to build resilient applications that can withstand potential threats.

In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will contribute to the security training and awareness programs within the organization, empowering team members to prioritize security in their daily work. You will stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
