Your expertise in NetSuite allows you to build scalable processes that are automated and auditable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting. You have a strong understanding of product pricing, contracting, and sales processes, which enables you to align accounting practices with business objectives.

You thrive in a collaborative environment, working across teams including product management, legal, FP&A, and sales operations. Your ability to communicate effectively ensures that all stakeholders understand the accounting and revenue recognition treatment of contracts and products. You are detail-oriented and committed to driving best practices that set the industry pace for speed and accuracy in reporting.

Desirable

Experience with additional business systems and a background in open-source software or technology markets would be advantageous. You are adaptable and open to learning new skills, which will help you navigate the complexities of a global distributed team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the efforts to drive best practices in systems and controls within Canonical's finance function. You will work closely with various teams to ensure that accounting processes are aligned with business needs and that revenue recognition is straightforward and correct. Your responsibilities will include implementing automated solutions in NetSuite and Salesforce, ensuring that all processes are auditable and scalable.

You will also be responsible for collaborating with product management and legal teams to align on pricing and contracting strategies. Your insights will help streamline sales processes and improve overall efficiency. You will challenge existing practices and encourage innovative thinking to enhance the financial reporting landscape at Canonical.
