Who you are
You have a strong background in treasury management and financial strategy, with a proactive approach to overseeing global liquidity and payment operations. Your experience includes managing cash positions and optimizing surplus investments, ensuring that funds are allocated efficiently across the organization. You are adept at building and maintaining banking relationships, ensuring competitive pricing and secure operations. You thrive in environments that require strategic forecasting and planning, and you are comfortable executing global payments while managing intercompany funding.
You possess excellent analytical skills and a keen understanding of financial markets, which allows you to make informed decisions regarding cash management and investment strategies. Your ability to drive high-impact projects to automate and scale treasury infrastructure is complemented by your strong communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
What you'll do
As the Treasury Lead at Careem, you will oversee daily cash positions and ensure that our liquidity is managed effectively. You will be responsible for optimizing surplus investments and managing intercompany funding, including loans and automated cash sweeps. Your role will involve executing global payments, including vendor, payroll, and tax payments, while managing banking relationships to ensure competitive pricing and secure operations.
You will also be tasked with building and maintaining financial forecasts and plans, ensuring that the organization is prepared for future financial needs. Your leadership will drive the automation of treasury processes, allowing for more efficient operations and better financial decision-making. You will work closely with various teams to ensure that financial strategies align with the overall goals of the organization, contributing to Careem's mission of simplifying and improving people's lives.
