Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly with Java, and have a solid understanding of building and maintaining APIs. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy mentoring junior engineers, ensuring best practices are followed in code quality and design. Your experience includes working with full-stack teams and contributing to the development of consumer-facing applications.
You are passionate about technology and enjoy exploring new tools and frameworks that can enhance the development process. You have a strong grasp of system architecture and are comfortable discussing technical concepts with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your communication skills allow you to effectively share your ideas and collaborate with your team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be a key contributor to the development of CarTrawler's core platform, focusing on building and enhancing APIs that support various business services. You will collaborate closely with frontend engineers to ensure seamless integration of APIs into consumer-facing applications. Your responsibilities will also include mentoring junior and mid-level engineers, conducting code reviews, and participating in design discussions to uphold the quality and maintainability of the codebase.
You will work within a hybrid model, spending two mandatory days a week in the Dublin office while having the flexibility to work remotely. This role offers you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the travel industry by developing innovative solutions that enhance the car rental experience for customers worldwide.
