Who you are
You are an entry-level Systems Engineer with a foundational understanding of Linux and cloud technologies. You have a keen interest in monitoring and troubleshooting infrastructure issues, and you're eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. You understand the importance of maintaining uptime and availability for global infrastructure and are ready to contribute to a team that values collaboration and problem-solving.
You are comfortable working with various cloud providers, including AWS, Azure, and GCP, and you have a basic understanding of how to manage server issues across these platforms. You are detail-oriented and can classify and track incidents effectively, ensuring that customer issues are resolved promptly.
What you'll do
In this role, you will assist the Catchpoint Operations team in monitoring and troubleshooting application, server, network, and infrastructure problems. You will be responsible for maintaining the uptime and availability of Catchpoint's global infrastructure across multiple third-party data centers and cloud providers. Your day-to-day tasks will include monitoring node infrastructure, diagnosing Linux server issues, and performing OS/application upgrades and server migrations.
You will accept and register incidents from the Support team, classify them according to specified categories, and execute the first attempt to solve customer incidents or escalate them to the next level based on SLAs. You will track the progress of incident tickets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring that they are resolved efficiently and effectively.
