Who you are

You have a strong background in data governance, with experience leading the design and execution of data governance strategies. Your expertise in translating business needs into actionable governance policies is complemented by your ability to work collaboratively with legal, security, and privacy teams. You excel in articulating complex concepts to executives and stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the organization. Your experience in multinational contexts has equipped you with the skills to navigate diverse regulatory environments and implement best practices in data management.

You have prior experience supporting migrations to cloud platforms, particularly GCP, and are familiar with tools such as BigQuery and Data Catalog. Your understanding of data lifecycle management and governance frameworks allows you to define clear roles and responsibilities within data governance structures. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for creating audit-ready documentation that meets compliance requirements.

Desirable

Experience with data governance in multinational organizations is a plus, as is familiarity with data privacy regulations. You may have worked with various stakeholders to establish governance seals and criteria for data quality, security, and privacy. Your ability to influence high-level management decisions and drive change is a key asset.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design of the Central Data Governance Strategy for CI&T, focusing on both national and international scopes. You will be responsible for defining corporate data policies, including access, quality, privacy, retention, and classification. Your work will involve co-creating governance frameworks with legal and security teams, ensuring that sensitive data is handled according to established rules and regulations.

You will model roles and responsibilities within the governance framework, publishing a RACI matrix for critical data domains. Your ability to translate business needs into governance criteria will be essential as you establish the Governance Seal, which will include quality, security, and performance metrics. You will also support the migration to GCP, ensuring that governance principles are integrated into the new architecture.

Collaboration will be key in this role, as you will work closely with various teams to ensure that data governance is understood and implemented across the organization. You will provide guidance and support to subareas in executing the governance strategy, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed.
