Who you are

You have a strong background in software engineering with a focus on safety-critical systems — your experience includes architecting and delivering software that meets rigorous safety standards. You are proficient in C and C++, and have a solid understanding of embedded systems and functional safety principles. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that safety is integrated into every aspect of product development.

You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can analyze complex systems to identify risks and improve safety performance. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders allows you to guide technical decisions and elevate the organizational culture around safety. You are motivated by the challenge of enabling safe autonomy at an industrial scale and are eager to contribute to continuous improvements in safety capabilities.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take ownership of the architecture and software that enable safe human-robot collaboration. You will design and implement safety-critical software and compute subsystems, ensuring compliance with SIL-rated designs and documentation for certification and regulatory review. Your responsibilities will include evaluating and integrating safety-rated hardware and software components, as well as development toolchains to ensure performance and reliability.

You will analyze real-world and simulated operational data to assess safety performance and identify risks, contributing to fleet-level improvements and mitigations. Additionally, you will respond effectively to incidents, maintaining the rigorous standards required for certification. Your influence will extend beyond product development as you partner across teams to shape the organizational culture around safety.
