Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with a strong background in vulnerability management and incident response — you've successfully led security operations in cloud-native environments and understand the intricacies of CI/CD pipelines. Your expertise in SAST and DAST tools allows you to identify and mitigate security risks effectively, ensuring that applications are built securely without sacrificing agility. You are proficient in programming languages such as Python, which you use to automate security processes and enhance detection capabilities. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product and development teams to drive security initiatives and promote best practices across the organization. Your ability to articulate business risks associated with security issues makes you a trusted advisor to leadership and partner teams.
What you'll do
As a Senior Security Engineer at Cohere, you will lead security operations functions, including vulnerability management, SAST, DAST, and incident response — your role will be pivotal in integrating security into our applications throughout the software development lifecycle. You will collaborate with product and development teams to ensure that software is built and deployed securely, driving the success of larger projects while maintaining speed and agility. You will also be responsible for driving and supporting our bug bounty program, conducting application security reviews, and performing threat modeling to identify potential vulnerabilities. Your contributions will help shape the security posture of our AI systems, ensuring that they are robust and resilient against emerging threats.
