What you'll do

As a Staff Software Engineer on the Consumer Portfolio Team, you will play a critical dual role as both a technical leader and an individual contributor. You will anchor new projects and define the technical direction for the Portfolio experience, ensuring that the systems you build are robust, scalable, and aligned with Coinbase's mission. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features that enhance the user experience.

You will be responsible for mentoring a growing team of engineers, providing guidance on best practices in software development, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Your role will involve hands-on coding, system architecture design, and production monitoring, ensuring that the services you build are reliable and performant.

You will also participate in team and company-wide offsites, contributing to the collaborative culture at Coinbase. Your insights and expertise will help shape the future of the financial system as you work alongside other talented professionals who are equally committed to excellence.
