What you'll do

In this role, you will define and drive the long-term architecture and roadmap for Internal Access Management at Confluent. You will architect and implement least privilege and zero-trust models across our services, ensuring that access is granted only when necessary and under secure conditions. You will build and evolve scalable access-authorization workflows and lifecycle management processes, enhancing our security posture.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including security, product, and engineering, to establish a cohesive end-to-end access posture. Your role will involve defining how Confluent enforces least privilege and manages workload identity, ensuring that all engineering systems are secure and auditable. You will lead initiatives to improve our access management processes, leveraging your expertise to drive innovation and efficiency.

You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and sharing your knowledge with the team — fostering a culture of security awareness and best practices. Your contributions will directly impact the security and reliability of our data streaming platform, enabling our customers to trust that their data is protected.
