Platform Engineer

Who you are

You have experience in building and scaling data platforms, particularly with Snowflake, and are familiar with data architecture principles. You understand the importance of data governance and have worked with tools like Atlan to implement catalog capabilities. Your background includes developing data transformation pipelines using dbt Cloud, ensuring adherence to best practices and modeling standards.

You are proficient in Infrastructure-as-Code practices, particularly using Terraform for provisioning data infrastructure components in AWS. You have experience managing identity and access control through Okta, ensuring secure authentication and authorization processes. Your familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, particularly in CircleCI, allows you to support reliable and automated deployment processes.

You thrive in a collaborative environment, partnering closely with analytics teams to enable performant and governed data assets for tools like Tableau. You have a strong understanding of orchestrated workflows and can maintain monitoring and observability workflows with tools like Monte Carlo.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, implement, and evolve a scalable, secure Snowflake-based enterprise data architecture. You will build robust data transformation pipelines using dbt Cloud and develop orchestrated workflows to ensure data reliability. Your responsibilities will include implementing data governance and catalog capabilities through Atlan, partnering with analytics teams to enable performant data assets for Tableau and other downstream tools.

You will implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform for provisioning data infrastructure components and foundational infrastructure in AWS. Managing identity and access control through Okta will be a key part of your role, ensuring secure, role-based authentication and authorization. You will also maintain CI/CD pipelines in CircleCI, supporting reliable and automated deployment processes.

Your role will encompass owning and operating platform components, including incident management and operational excellence. You will work closely with a cross-geography engineering team, delivering iterative value and partnering with business and analytics stakeholders to ensure the success of the data platform.
