Who you are
You are a Systems Software Engineer with a strong grasp of both backend and frontend systems. You balance technical depth with product intuition, building reliable, user-focused applications that scale. You’re comfortable moving quickly in a startup environment, collaborating across disciplines, and owning features from concept through deployment. You thrive in ambiguity, enjoy working with cross-functional teams, and are eager to contribute to the future of socially-intelligent AI.
You have experience designing and implementing backend services and APIs, preferably using Python and Go. Your technical expertise allows you to enhance system reliability and scalability, and you are adept at identifying and removing performance bottlenecks. You have a collaborative mindset, working closely with ML engineers to integrate large language models into production systems. You are proactive in participating in on-call rotations and production maintenance to ensure a great user experience.
Desirable
Experience with large-scale systems and a background in AI or machine learning would be beneficial. Familiarity with agile methodologies and a passion for innovative technology will help you excel in this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design, build, and scale backend services and APIs that power our AI agent platform. You will partner with ML engineers to integrate large language models into production systems, ensuring that our AI agent provides a seamless user experience. You will own feature development from ideation to launch, gathering requirements, implementing solutions, testing, and iterating based on user feedback.
You will improve system reliability and scalability by enhancing testing protocols and refining infrastructure. Collaborating closely with our CEO, product manager, and designer, you will translate product goals into technical solutions that meet user needs. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of our agent experience and help scale our platform to the next level.
