Electrical Engineer • Senior

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or project environment. You possess a solid understanding of the NEC and low-voltage power distribution systems, which enables you to effectively engage with customers and translate their requirements into technical specifications. Your experience has equipped you with the skills to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and technical proposals, ensuring alignment with customer scope and manufacturing capabilities.

You are a strong communicator who can work collaboratively with estimating teams, customers, and engineering/manufacturing teams. Your ability to define the electrical scope of work clearly and concisely is a key asset in this role. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for generating preliminary electrical designs that meet client needs while adhering to industry standards.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be the primary technical interface between the estimating team, customers, and the Engineering/Manufacturing teams. You will focus on the initial project phase, defining the scope of work and generating preliminary electrical designs for custom power and control products. Your responsibilities will include preparing accurate cost estimates and technical proposals, ensuring they align with customer requirements and manufacturing capabilities. You will engage directly with customers to understand their needs and translate those into clear technical specifications.

You will also support the estimating process by providing insights and technical expertise that enhance the accuracy of project bids. Your role will be crucial in driving meaningful innovation and making a tangible impact on the projects you work on. You will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure that all aspects of the project are aligned and that customer expectations are met.
