You have extensive experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, ideally in a technology or data-driven environment. You understand the complexities of vendor ecosystems and have a proven track record of building effective sourcing strategies that align with business goals. Your leadership style fosters collaboration across departments, ensuring that sourcing is seen as a strategic partner rather than a bottleneck. You are adept at navigating high-stakes negotiations and can balance speed, innovation, and cost discipline in decision-making.
You possess strong analytical skills and can evaluate supplier performance and market trends to inform sourcing decisions. Your ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels is crucial, as you will guide teams through vendor selection and contract negotiations. What you'll do
In this role, you will define and execute a global strategic sourcing strategy across various categories, including technology and professional services. You will build scalable category strategies that align with Databricks' product roadmap and growth plans. Your leadership will establish sourcing as a trusted advisory function, enabling teams to move quickly without compromising rigor. You will act as a strategic partner to leaders in Engineering, Product, IT, Security, Legal, and Finance, guiding them through vendor selection and commercial structuring.
You will lead complex, high-value negotiations that deliver significant value to the organization. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that sourcing strategies are aligned with business objectives. You will also be responsible for monitoring supplier performance and implementing improvements where necessary. Your expertise will help shape Databricks' vendor strategy, ensuring that the company invests in the right partners at the right time.
