You have 5+ years of production-level experience in software engineering, particularly with large-scale distributed systems. Your expertise spans languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or C++, and you have a strong understanding of networking infrastructure. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.

Your experience includes designing and automating networking foundations for large-scale compute clusters across major cloud providers. You are passionate about building secure and scalable connectivity solutions that power data and AI workloads. You have a hands-on approach and enjoy tackling complex challenges in multicloud environments.

You possess strong problem-solving skills and are comfortable navigating the intricacies of distributed systems. Your ability to communicate effectively with product management, operations, and engineering teams ensures that you can deliver efficient networking systems that meet customer needs.

Desirable

Experience with cloud networking and security features is a plus. Familiarity with enterprise security protocols and data exfiltration prevention will enhance your contributions to the team. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies as they emerge in the fast-evolving landscape of data and AI infrastructure.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design and development of networking solutions that connect millions of virtual machines running on Databricks. You will automate processes to ensure that our networking infrastructure is efficient and scalable, enabling seamless connectivity for our customers.

You will collaborate with product management to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your work will involve designing secure connectivity solutions that not only meet current needs but also anticipate future demands in the data and AI space.

You will engage with operations teams to ensure that the networking systems you develop are reliable and maintainable. Your role will also include mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their careers.
