Databricks is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead Release Management processes across their Engineering organization. You'll implement and improve release processes while collaborating with engineering and product teams. This role requires 5+ years of technical program management experience.

Who you are
You have over 5 years of experience in technical program, project, or relationship management, demonstrating your ability to drive operations at scale. Your background includes a Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, which has equipped you with the technical knowledge necessary for this role. You excel at leading cross-functional teams to complete projects with multiple dependencies and constraints, ensuring that all aspects of the project are aligned and executed effectively.
Your experience includes defining releases, identifying risks, managing costs, coordinating scope, and scheduling, which are critical skills for ensuring successful project delivery. You are passionate about Release Management and have a proven track record of building strong relationships across organizations, which is essential for fostering collaboration and achieving project goals. You are adept at guiding the direction of cross-cloud programs and setting engineering goals, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the process.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and improving release processes for code through development, testing, and production environments. You will work closely with engineering and product team members to ensure that Databricks solutions are engineered for reliability, scalability, and security, while keeping operations top of mind. Your role will involve organizing controls, governance, and standards across the infrastructure to achieve product stability and maintain high uptime.
You will report to a Technical Program Leader and will be expected to work across multiple time zones, proactively identifying blockers and ensuring that needs are balanced against technical requirements. Your ability to see around corners and anticipate challenges will be crucial in driving the success of the programs you manage. You will also be involved in setting engineering goals and launching programs at scale, making a significant impact on the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering organization.
