You are comfortable working with REST APIs and have experience with containerization technologies like Docker, which you use to streamline development and deployment processes.

What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer on the Product Analytics team, you will design, build, and maintain core backend systems that support data ingestion and processing from multiple sources. Your work will ensure that these systems are scalable, reliable, and high-performing, enabling product managers and designers to make data-driven decisions.

You will drive technical architecture decisions in alignment with product goals, collaborating closely with frontend and platform teams to tailor Datadog's storage and query solutions to meet the needs of the analytics product. Your hands-on engineering work will include coding, conducting code reviews, and participating in design reviews to uphold the quality of the codebase.

You will also play a key role in shaping the team culture, ensuring that it aligns with the company's engineering standards and customer focus. Your contributions will directly impact the success of the Product Analytics area, helping to build a robust and flexible system that can efficiently query data for end users.
