You have a strong background in container technologies and Kubernetes, with experience in managing multi-cloud environments. Your expertise in container isolation and security technologies, particularly Kata Containers, sets you apart. You are familiar with emerging sandboxing technologies such as gVisor and WebAssembly, and you understand the importance of performance in isolated workloads. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. Your problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex challenges in container runtime diversity and security. You are passionate about contributing to open-source projects and influencing the roadmap of technologies you work with.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain container isolation infrastructure across multi-cloud Kubernetes environments, focusing on Kata Containers and microVM technologies. You will work to achieve performance parity for isolated workloads by addressing disk I/O limitations and developing new Kata backends for diverse infrastructure requirements, including potential AWS Nitro Enclaves integration. You will evaluate emerging sandboxing technologies to meet specific workload requirements and collaborate with the upstream Kata Containers project to contribute improvements. Your role will directly support Datadog's strategic investment in secure execution of untrusted customer code in multi-tenant infrastructure, ensuring that new product features are delivered while maintaining performance at scale.
