You have a strong background in finance and data analysis, ideally with experience in cloud cost management. You understand the financial implications of technology investments and can translate complex data into actionable insights. Your analytical skills allow you to build predictive models that inform strategic decision-making. You thrive in cross-functional environments, collaborating with technical leadership to drive financial strategies that support rapid business growth.
You are comfortable working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, and have a keen interest in optimizing cloud spending. Your experience includes leveraging data science techniques to enhance financial forecasting and reporting. You are proactive in identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements, and you enjoy working in a hybrid workplace that values collaboration and creativity.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the end-to-end modeling for Datadog's largest hosting expense drivers, utilizing cloud cost management tools to analyze usage data and create accurate financial forecasts. You will partner closely with Engineering and Finance leadership to conduct variance analysis and strategic capacity planning. Your responsibilities will include leading initiatives for cost optimization and transitioning from manual workflows to automated insights, ensuring that financial strategies align with the company's growth objectives.
You will play a pivotal role in connecting financial insights with operational alignment across the organization. By collaborating with various teams, you will help drive decision-making around critical investments in technology and infrastructure. Your work will directly impact Datadog's ability to scale efficiently and effectively as it accelerates its AI roadmap.
