Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in structured programming languages such as Go and Python. You have experience running production environments within one or several cloud environments, and you understand the intricacies of deploying and managing services across multiple regions and cloud providers. Your expertise in tools like Kubernetes and Terraform allows you to effectively manage infrastructure and automate deployments.

You are a collaborative team player who values the relationships built within your office culture. Your ability to communicate effectively with both engineering teams and infrastructure teams makes you a key player in bridging the gap between product development and operational excellence.

Desirable

Experience with additional tools such as Redis, Cassandra, and Kafka is a plus, as is familiarity with cloud provider-specific services. You are comfortable with configuration management and container orchestration, and you have a keen interest in shaping new infrastructure technologies that serve the Synthetics product.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for deploying new Synthetics locations and developing tooling to manage existing locations. You will design, plan, and develop tools to automate various types of migrations without any downtime across multiple regions and cloud providers. Your expertise will help shape new infrastructure technologies that serve the Synthetics product, and you will act as an expert resource for Synthetics developers, guiding them in making better architectural decisions and configuring their services effectively.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the Synthetics services are robust and scalable. Your role will involve not only technical development but also mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the overall growth of the team. You will be expected to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously improving the Synthetics platform.
