Your experience includes leading teams focused on Detection & Response, Enterprise Security, Identity & Access Management, and Cyber Threat Intelligence. You are adept at navigating complex security challenges and have a deep understanding of the latest security technologies and practices. You are also skilled in communicating security strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the organization.

What you'll do

As the Director of Security Operations, you will define and execute the security operations strategy for Discord, ensuring that the organization is well-protected against emerging threats. You will lead the Detection & Response, Enterprise Security, Identity & Access Management, and Cyber Threat Intelligence teams, fostering a culture of security awareness and proactive risk management. Your role will involve setting clear objectives for your teams and ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed.

You will collaborate closely with the Head of Security and other senior leaders to align security initiatives with business goals. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and standards that meet industry best practices. You will also be responsible for monitoring security incidents, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

In addition to strategic oversight, you will be involved in hands-on technical work when necessary, helping your teams troubleshoot complex security issues and providing guidance on best practices. You will also play a key role in mentoring and developing your team members, helping them grow in their careers and enhancing their technical skills.
