Overview

dLocal is hiring a Senior DataOps Engineer to shape the foundation of their data platform. You'll design scalable infrastructure on Kubernetes and operate Databricks as the primary data platform. This role requires expertise in data governance and reliability.

Who you are

You have a strong background in DataOps with a focus on building and maintaining scalable data infrastructure. Your experience includes working with Kubernetes, where you've designed and implemented containerized applications that ensure high availability and performance. You are proficient in Databricks, enabling you to leverage its capabilities for data processing and analytics effectively. You understand the importance of data governance and have implemented strategies to ensure data quality and accessibility across teams.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to drive data initiatives. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, allowing you to tackle complex data challenges with ease. You are customer-centric, always considering how your work impacts end-users and stakeholders. You are adaptable and open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your work and the team's output.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure would be a plus, as would familiarity with data governance frameworks. If you have worked in a fast-paced environment with a focus on emerging markets, that experience will be highly valued.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and evolving the data infrastructure that supports dLocal's operations across 40 countries. You will work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure that data is clean, observable, and accessible for various business needs. Your expertise in Kubernetes will be crucial as you deploy and manage applications that handle large volumes of data efficiently.

You will also operate Databricks as the primary data platform, ensuring that it is optimized for performance and reliability. This includes setting up data pipelines, monitoring data flows, and implementing best practices for data governance. You will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization by ensuring that data assets are well-managed and utilized effectively.

Collaboration is key in this position, as you will partner with various teams to understand their data needs and provide solutions that enhance their workflows. You will also be involved in training and mentoring junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles.
