Who you are

You have a strong background in corporate safety and security, with experience in developing and implementing safety programs that ensure compliance with regulations such as OSHA and local laws. You understand the importance of protecting people, property, and operations, and you are committed to creating a safe workplace environment. Your leadership skills enable you to supervise security specialists and contractors effectively, ensuring high standards of safety and security are maintained. You are adept at collaborating with various teams, including Human Resources and Workplace Experience, to drive safety initiatives that align with business goals.

You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to influence business development and guide safe operations across the organization. Your ability to analyze risks and develop strategic safety measures is complemented by your hands-on experience in emergency management and workplace violence prevention. You are proactive in identifying potential security threats and implementing measures to mitigate them, ensuring a secure environment for all employees.

Desirable

Experience with advanced security technologies and systems is a plus, as is familiarity with industry best practices in safety and security management. You are also knowledgeable about the latest trends and regulations in corporate safety, which allows you to stay ahead of potential challenges.

What you'll do

In this role, you will directly support the safety and security of DoorDash's corporate office in San Francisco. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing the Global Safety and Security team's strategic goals. This includes leading the development of workplace safety programs and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will work closely with Global Safety and Security leadership to influence business development and guide safe operations.

You will lead and supervise assigned Security Specialists and security contractors, ensuring that they adhere to high standards of performance and professionalism. Your role will involve conducting regular assessments of safety and security measures, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary changes. You will also be responsible for training staff on safety protocols and emergency procedures, fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

Collaboration is key in this position, as you will partner with various departments, including Human Resources and Real Estate, to ensure that safety and security measures are integrated into all aspects of the business. You will also be involved in incident response planning and execution, ensuring that the organization is prepared for any potential emergencies.
