Desirable
Experience with Bazel and modularization strategies is a plus, as well as familiarity with optimizing build times for large teams. You may also have a background in performance optimization and architecture design, which will be beneficial in this role.
What you'll do
As a Staff iOS Engineer at Duolingo, you will be responsible for evaluating and setting the direction for iOS builds within the Client Builds and Infrastructure team. This includes exploring new technologies and strategies to enhance the efficiency of the iOS development process. You will work closely with over 70 iOS developers to optimize build times and improve application performance. Your role will involve architectural discussions where you will represent your team and bridge the gap between Client Platform and Product feature teams. You will also be tasked with implementing CI pipeline changes that will streamline the development workflow and ensure that the team can deliver high-quality applications quickly.
