You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, building production systems at scale — you've owned services from design through deployment and have navigated complex distributed systems issues. Your expertise in Java is deep, and you've shipped high-throughput APIs that handle millions of requests, developing strong opinions on service architecture and testing strategies. You thrive in collaborative environments, working cross-functionally with various teams to drive the implementation of new features. You understand the unique needs of users living paycheck to paycheck and are passionate about building products that deliver real-time financial flexibility. You are resourceful and enjoy breaking complex problems down to their essentials, translating them into actionable tasks for your team. You are committed to continuous learning and development, eager to grow alongside your colleagues.

Desirable

Experience with cloud services and microservices architecture would be a plus, as well as familiarity with agile methodologies. A background in financial technology or similar industries can help you understand the context of the products you will be working on.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and implement features robust enough for high scale, ensuring that the backend services you develop are reliable and efficient. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate user needs into technical specifications. Your responsibilities will include driving the implementation of new features, conducting code reviews, and optimizing existing systems for performance and scalability. You will also participate in troubleshooting and debugging complex issues, ensuring that the services remain operational and performant. As part of a hybrid team, you will work from the Bengaluru office two days a week, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and innovation.
