Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in developing and optimizing storage solutions. Your expertise includes working with data processing systems and enhancing logging capabilities to ensure data integrity and performance. You are comfortable collaborating with distributed teams and have a strong understanding of both structured and unstructured data management.

You possess a deep knowledge of Elasticsearch and its applications, enabling you to contribute effectively to the ES|QL solution and improve storage efficiency. Your problem-solving skills allow you to tackle complex challenges in data storage and retrieval, ensuring that systems are robust and scalable.

What you'll do

In this role, you will focus on improving storage efficiency for metrics, logs, and various data types. You will advance the ES|QL solution to enhance querying capabilities and optimize the storage layout for object storage. Your responsibilities will include enhancing current logging solutions to ensure that logging data is consistently accepted and persisted, as well as advancing metrics processing capabilities to facilitate seamless adoption by customers.

You will extend the logic for efficiently querying and aggregating stored data, taking into account the storage layout and ordering. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential as you work on initiatives that drive the performance and reliability of Elastic's storage solutions.
