Who you are

You are an undergraduate or recent graduate with a strong passion for cybersecurity, eager to dive into the world of security engineering. You have a foundational understanding of web and API security concepts, including the OWASP Top 10, and are familiar with various security tools. Your analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities make you a great fit for this role. You may have participated in bug bounty programs or Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions, showcasing your commitment to learning and applying security practices. You are also open to learning about cloud platforms and IAM concepts, which will enhance your skill set in this field.

What you'll do

As an Intern Security Engineer at Ema, you will perform manual web application and API penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities. You will participate in red teaming activities, which will give you practical experience in offensive security techniques. Additionally, you will assist with governance and compliance operations, including audits and reporting, ensuring that security measures align with industry standards. You will support SAST, SCA, and other InfoSec operations, monitoring compliance requirements and triaging security alerts. Your contributions will help in the remediation of identified vulnerabilities, making a significant impact on the organization's security posture.
