Enviva is hiring a Mechanical Technician to ensure proper preventive maintenance on critical machinery in pellet manufacturing. You'll work with various equipment and tools, focusing on continuous improvement and troubleshooting. This role is based in Epes, AL.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and repair, with hands-on experience working with various machinery and tools. You understand the importance of preventive maintenance and are committed to following approved procedures meticulously. Your ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues is complemented by your familiarity with motors, fans, gearboxes, and other critical components in a manufacturing environment.
You are skilled in using hand and power tools, and you have experience with welding machines and other equipment necessary for maintenance tasks. Your attention to detail ensures that you document inspections and maintain equipment in good condition. You are proactive in analyzing equipment performance and are always looking for ways to improve processes and efficiency.
What you'll do
As a Mechanical Technician at Enviva, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance on critical and auxiliary machinery associated with pellet manufacturing. This includes assembling, cutting, threading, and laying pipes, as well as assisting in the repair and installation of various equipment and parts. You will conduct thorough troubleshooting and repairs on motors, fans, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, and other pellet mill-specific equipment.
You will coordinate preventive maintenance and lubrication schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and documented accurately. Your role will involve analyzing equipment performance and making necessary adjustments to improve efficiency. You will work closely with a team to ensure that all machinery operates smoothly and meets safety standards.
