Who you are

You have at least two years of experience working in a quality assurance or technician role, demonstrating your ability to conduct thorough testing and sampling of materials. Your proficiency in Excel and Outlook allows you to efficiently manage data and communicate effectively with team members. You are familiar with various electronic systems and databases, which you use to record and analyze quality testing results. You understand the importance of adhering to safety procedures and maintaining a clean working environment, ensuring that all quality standards are met consistently.

You possess strong problem-solving skills, enabling you to investigate quality issues and propose effective solutions. Your attention to detail ensures that all records are accurate and up-to-date, which is crucial for maintaining compliance with quality standards. You are proactive in your approach, often taking the initiative to suggest improvements to existing processes and workflows. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with other team members to achieve common goals.

What you'll do

As a Quality Technician at Enviva, you will be responsible for sampling and testing raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods, and environmental samples. You will measure quality against client specifications on a daily basis, ensuring that all products meet the required standards. Following established procedures, you will maintain accurate records of all testing activities and results, utilizing your knowledge of electronic systems for data storage and analysis.

In the event of quality issues, you will communicate these problems effectively and initiate the quarantine protocol as necessary. You will also investigate the root causes of quality issues and propose or test ideas for quality improvements. Occasionally, you will perform special-project tests to further investigate quality concerns or explore potential solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining lab equipment and ensuring timely calibration as required, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the quality assurance process.
