Who you are

You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with a strong focus on building production systems that are scalable and resilient. Your experience includes architecting services that can handle high loads and ensure security across various platforms.

You are proficient in designing and implementing APIs that are not only functional but also optimized for performance. You have a solid understanding of system architecture and are familiar with best practices in software development, including testing and deployment strategies. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Desirable

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and building scalable services that power Everbridge's critical event management platform. You will work closely with product managers and other engineers to define system requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability and performance of the systems used by various stakeholders.

You will engage in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and improvement within the team. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues that arise in production, ensuring that the systems remain operational and efficient.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will partner with other teams to integrate new features and enhancements into the existing platform. You will also participate in architectural discussions, helping to shape the future direction of the technology stack used at Everbridge.
