Job Description
Who you are
You are a strong engineer with experience in building and shipping high-quality, viral applets using React and Node.js. You understand the developer community inside and out — you're deeply plugged into the latest trends, speak the language, and can create technical content and experiences that resonate with the people who matter. You have a track record of building and shipping tools or projects that have gone viral, showcasing your ability to engage and excite users. Your engineering experience with APIs is robust, and you care deeply about designing them well to enhance user experience. You are excited to wear many hats, including frontend development, social media engagement, marketing, and support, recognizing the importance of finding high-quality knowledge for the world.
Desirable
Experience in managing social media relationships with developers and creating engaging content that drives community interaction would be a plus. You are also encouraged to bring your creativity to the table, whether it's through organizing hackathons or creating innovative API documentation that stands out in the industry.
What you'll do
In this role, you will create and demo viral applets that showcase how Exa’s search powers next-gen applications. You will be responsible for developing the greatest API documentation of all time, potentially incorporating interactive elements like GPT-4 chat to enhance user engagement. Managing our social media relationship with developers will be a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring that Exa maintains a strong presence in the developer community. You will also have the opportunity to organize and lead exciting hackathons that promote Exa's technology and foster community engagement. Your work will directly contribute to getting the world excited about the next generation of search technology.
What we offer
This is an in-person opportunity based in San Francisco, where you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to building a revolutionary search engine. We are happy to sponsor international candidates, including those on STEM OPT, OPT, H1B, O1, and E3 visas. You will have the chance to work with cutting-edge technology, including a $5m H200 GPU cluster, and be part of a company that is not your average startup. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
