Job Description
Who you are
You have 3+ years of experience in design, ideally with a strong background in graphic design and brand development. Your proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite allows you to create high-quality visuals and interactions. You understand UX/UI principles, especially for complex technical products, and have great storytelling skills through visuals or writing. You thrive in high-velocity, high-growth startup environments and enjoy rapidly iterating on a variety of projects.
Desirable
Experience in frontend engineering, motion design, or illustration skills would be a plus. You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment and can effectively communicate your design ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What you'll do
As a Product Designer at Exa, you will lead the brand identity and maintain brand guidelines across all platforms and touchpoints. You will explore visual designs in Figma and translate them into web-native experiences, identifying and pursuing new areas of product growth. Your role will involve creating and iterating on product flows and high-fidelity visuals, working closely with marketing on branding initiatives that extend across various channels. You will collaborate with front-end engineering to develop the flow, layout, and features of our API playground, and design website landing pages that highlight our search capabilities for different industries.
What we offer
Exa provides a creative environment where designers have broad creative license and the freedom to lead new initiatives based on their best product judgment. You will be part of a team that values innovation and encourages you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement. This is an in-person opportunity in San Francisco, and we are open to sponsoring international candidates.
