Who you are
You are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field and are eager to take off a semester to work full-time in San Francisco. You have experience with high-performance languages such as C++ or Rust, and you often engage in technically challenging projects for fun. You understand the significance of finding high-quality information and are motivated by the impact this has on the world.
What you'll do
As an engineering intern at Exa, you will play a critical role in various projects that contribute to the development of a search engine from scratch. You will have the opportunity to work on massive-scale infrastructure that crawls the web and trains state-of-the-art embedding models. You might also be involved in building a custom vector database that can efficiently search over billions of vectors in under 100 milliseconds. Your projects will be tailored to your skills and interests, allowing you to explore areas that excite you.
