With 5+ years of experience in software engineering, you understand the intricacies of integrating AI into creative workflows and have a passion for making design accessible to all. Your leadership style fosters collaboration and innovation, enabling your team to thrive in a dynamic environment.
You possess deep expertise in AI technologies and have successfully managed projects that leverage generative AI models. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product and Design, allows you to translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies that enhance user experience.
You are adept at navigating the challenges of scaling a product while maintaining quality and craftsmanship. Your experience in working with diverse teams equips you to identify opportunities for collaboration and drive initiatives that deepen engagement with designers.
Desirable
Experience with Figma's platform or similar design tools is a plus, as is familiarity with agile methodologies. You are comfortable with data-driven decision-making and have a strong understanding of user needs in the design space.
What you'll do
As the Manager of Software Engineering for the Expressive AI team, you will lead a group of engineers focused on integrating AI techniques into Figma's design workflows. Your role involves collaborating with Product and Design teams to build and execute a roadmap that enhances Figma's capabilities. You will oversee the development of features that leverage generative AI, ensuring they align with user needs and business goals.
You will be responsible for mentoring and developing your team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement. Your leadership will guide the team in implementing best practices in software engineering and AI integration, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
In addition to technical leadership, you will engage with partner teams across Figma's product ecosystem to identify opportunities for collaboration and feature enhancement.
