FinFit is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage accounts payable and internal fund movements. You'll work with Microsoft Excel and SAGE100 to ensure transaction accuracy. This position requires 2+ years of accounting experience.

Who you are

You have a college degree in finance or accounting and at least 2 years of accounting experience, which has equipped you with a solid understanding of financial processes and documentation. Your advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas and lookup tables, allows you to analyze data efficiently and effectively. You are detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills, enabling you to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy in your work. Your strong written and oral communication skills help you build excellent relationships with vendors and collaborate effectively with your team members.

Desirable

Experience with enterprise resource planning systems, particularly SAGE100, is a plus. You have a proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees, showcasing your adaptability in various work environments. You are comfortable reading and analyzing financial documents and reports, which aids in your decision-making processes.

What you'll do

As a Staff Accountant at FinFit, you will play a critical role within the Finance & Accounting team. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the flow of accounts payable payments and overseeing the internal movement of funds for loan collections. You will download daily bank exports to load into the reconciliation tool and research and validate ACH returns and positive pay transactions. Additionally, you will initiate daily fundings, internal transfers, and payments as needed, while ensuring that all transactions are cross-checked for accuracy and properly documented. You will also review account transactions and develop or investigate ways to enhance the efficiency of processing requests, contributing to the overall improvement of the accounting processes.
