Flyr is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the development of their NDC portal/gateway solution. You'll define the product vision and collaborate with various teams to enhance airline distribution. This role requires significant experience in product management.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally within the technology or travel industry β you've successfully led product initiatives from conception to launch, demonstrating your ability to align product strategies with business goals. Your strong communication skills enable you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and customer support, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the product lifecycle.
You possess a deep understanding of airline distribution systems and the IATA NDC standards β your expertise allows you to navigate complex regulatory environments while ensuring compliance and delivering value to customers. You are data-driven, using analytics to inform product decisions and measure success, and you thrive in environments that require strategic thinking and problem-solving.
Your experience includes defining product roadmaps and managing backlogs β you are adept at prioritizing features based on customer feedback and market trends, ensuring that the product evolves to meet user needs. You have a hands-on approach to product management, blending strategic oversight with tactical execution, and you are comfortable working in agile environments.
Desirable
Experience with API-first product development is a plus β you understand the importance of creating intuitive self-serve workflows that enhance user experience and drive adoption. Familiarity with the travel industry and its unique challenges will give you an edge in this role, as you will be expected to innovate and push boundaries in a competitive market.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the product vision for FLYR's NDC portal/gateway solution β you will define and execute strategies that align with the company's goals and enhance the airline distribution experience. You will work closely with customers to gather insights and feedback, ensuring that the product meets their needs and expectations. Your responsibilities will include managing the product backlog, prioritizing features, and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
You will lead cross-functional teams in the design and development of the portal, ensuring that it is user-friendly and compliant with industry standards. You will also be responsible for conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. Your role will involve regular communication with senior leadership to align product strategies with business objectives and report on progress.
