Who you are

You have strong experience with React Native and TypeScript, and you come from a solid front-end engineering background, particularly within the JavaScript and React ecosystem. Your expertise includes building mobile or tablet applications, and you are comfortable improving and maintaining existing codebases. You thrive in startup environments, where you can move quickly and iterate on product features, and you care deeply about UI quality and performance.

You are a hands-on engineer who enjoys optimizing existing systems and collaborating closely with product engineers and backend developers. Your experience includes working with AI-assisted development tools, and you are familiar with the challenges of building applications in fast-paced settings. You communicate clearly and work well in hybrid teams, ensuring that everyone is aligned and focused on delivering high-quality products.

Desirable

Experience with Next.js is a plus, as is familiarity with POS systems, payments, or fintech products. You have a keen interest in AI-driven development workflows and enjoy collaborating with product or design teams to create seamless user experiences.

What you'll do

In this role, you will build and maintain front-end features for a tablet-based Point of Sale application, working extensively with React Native and TypeScript. Your focus will be on improving UI/UX quality and reducing clutter in the existing codebase, ensuring that the application is both user-friendly and efficient. You will refactor and optimize front-end code to enhance performance and reliability, shipping new features quickly while maintaining high code quality.

Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with product engineers and backend developers to ensure that the application meets user needs and business goals. You will be responsible for iterating on product features based on user feedback and performance metrics, using AI-assisted development tools responsibly and effectively to streamline your workflow.
