Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in cloud security and software engineering, with experience in embedding security into software development processes. You are comfortable writing code and building real-world infrastructure, having previously built or fixed secure systems in production environments. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with engineers to enhance security without merely assessing or auditing their work.
You possess a deep understanding of secure cloud-native architectures, including AWS, GCP, and Azure. Your expertise allows you to design and implement robust security measures that align with the development lifecycle. You are proactive in identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing solutions that enhance the overall security posture of the organization.
What you'll do
In this role, you will take ownership of the Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) at Gecko Robotics, ensuring that security is integrated into every phase of software developmentβfrom design to deployment. You will embed security practices into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that security gates are established without hindering the speed of delivery. Your responsibilities will include defining security standards and best practices that the engineering teams will follow.
You will act as a technical authority on cloud and product security, guiding teams in the implementation of secure architectures. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that security considerations are prioritized in all projects. You will also be responsible for conducting security assessments and providing recommendations to improve the security of existing systems.
