Overview

Genmo is seeking a Research Scientist to lead initiatives in alignment and post-training techniques for video generation models. You'll work on ensuring high-quality outputs that align with human preferences. This role requires expertise in reinforcement learning and generative AI.

Job Description

Who you are

You are an exceptional Research Scientist with a strong background in alignment and post-training techniques for large-scale video generation models. You have experience in designing and implementing supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) pipelines, ensuring that models produce high-quality, reliable outputs that adhere to human intent. You are well-versed in developing robust evaluation frameworks to measure model alignment, safety, and output quality. Your collaborative spirit allows you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, integrating alignment improvements into production pipelines. You stay at the cutting edge of the field by regularly reviewing academic literature in generative AI and alignment, and you are passionate about mentoring junior researchers to foster a culture of responsible AI development.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead research initiatives focused on alignment and post-training methods for video generation models. You will design and implement supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) pipelines, ensuring that our diffusion-based video models produce outputs that are not only high-quality but also physically accurate and safe. You will develop evaluation frameworks to measure model alignment and output quality, creating and optimizing data collection pipelines for human feedback and preferences. You will conduct experiments to validate alignment techniques and their scaling properties, collaborating closely with product teams to ensure that alignment methods enhance the user experience. Your role will also involve mentoring junior researchers, helping them grow in their careers while contributing to the responsible development of AI technologies.

What we offer

At Genmo, you will be part of a research lab dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in video generation and AI. We offer a collaborative environment where innovation is encouraged, and you will have the opportunity to shape the future of AI. You will work alongside talented individuals who share your passion for technology and research, and you will have access to resources that support your professional development. We believe in the importance of a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement. Join us in our mission to unlock the right brain of AGI and make a meaningful impact in the field of AI.
