Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in cloud automation and engineering, with a strong background in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure. Your expertise in AWS and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes allows you to create efficient and scalable cloud solutions. You are proficient in scripting languages such as Python, enabling you to automate processes and improve operational efficiency. You understand the importance of security in cloud environments and have experience implementing best practices to safeguard data and applications. Your collaborative spirit makes you a great team player, and you thrive in environments where you can share knowledge and mentor others.
Desirable
Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code is a plus, as is familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. You may also have experience with monitoring tools to ensure the reliability and performance of cloud services.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design and implement cloud automation solutions that enhance Geotab's IoT platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and streamline operations. Your responsibilities will include managing cloud resources, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance with security standards. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and reliability of services. As a senior engineer, you will mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall growth of the engineering team.
