Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with a strong focus on security operations and incident response. Your background includes working with various security frameworks and compliance standards, ensuring that systems are resilient and secure against threats. You are proficient in AWS and have experience with cloud security best practices, which allows you to effectively safeguard information assets.
Your technical skills include proficiency in Python and Linux, enabling you to automate security processes and analyze security incidents efficiently. You are familiar with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, which are essential for securing modern application environments. Your understanding of SQL helps you manage and analyze data related to security incidents and compliance.
You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and IT. You are adept at translating complex security concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders, fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization.
You are passionate about continuous learning and staying updated on the latest security threats and technologies. You understand the importance of proactive security measures and are committed to implementing best practices to protect the organization’s information assets.
Desirable
Experience with security tools such as Burp Suite, Splunk, or similar platforms is a plus. Familiarity with AI-powered applications and developer tools can enhance your contributions to the team. Certifications such as CISSP or CISM would be beneficial but are not mandatory.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design, build, and implement security monitoring and fraud detection capabilities for GoodLeap’s systems and services. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle, ensuring that security considerations are embedded from the outset.
You will lead incident response efforts, investigating security breaches and implementing corrective actions to prevent future incidents. Your expertise will guide the organization in managing technology governance and compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
You will conduct security assessments and audits, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies. Your role will involve developing and maintaining security policies and procedures, fostering a culture of security awareness among employees.
You will also engage with external partners and stakeholders to build trust and ensure compliance with security standards. Your contributions will directly impact the organization’s ability to safeguard customer and partner information, enhancing overall business resilience.
